You're the real thing.
(Even better than the real thing.)

Bleheghg. I've been completely dead to the world lately. I really need
to just kick myself in the butt and get back into gear. I (finally)
don't have the sickness excuse anymore, so I'm going to stop whining
and stop being lazy and stop sleeping all the time because that
is Duffer's job, goddammit, and I'm not allowed to steal it!

Oh, that kind of thing makes me so angry. *shakes fist*
I slept for a weekend and forgot to report on U2. And now it feels like old news. Ah well.
( Setlist and some ramblings. )
Okay, going to bed now. I've just been so tired...not at all aided by the fact that I've been getting up in the morning to total darkness. And pretty soon, it'll be dark by the time I head home in the afternoon as well. Hello, seasonal affective disorder. :/

*cries with happiness*
Something was wrong with my ISP, and my internet was gone for a whole week. But apparently, *looks around warily*, it's all better now! And unlike some of you lucky people, I don't have the luxury of internet access at work anymore, so I was really, really suffering.
A week is such a long time! So much has happened!
Possible giant update later.
Quick side note, however: Seeing U2 in concert was such a beautiful and overwhelming and life-affirming experience. I highly reccomend it. Details to follow. :)

Blah. I simply cannot seem to get well. All my bones ache, as well as my head, and with no good reason. I feel like I've spent the last week training for the marathon. Which is quite definitely not the case. And I'm tired. I think I've gone to bed before 10 the past three nights in a row. Which, for me, is absolutely insane. Generally, I don't go to bed before 12. I don't sleep well at night, usually only 4-5 hours tops. Once again, not the case the past couple weeks. I want to stay up and read and do stuff and get excited for Chelsea-Liverpool déjà vu tomorrow, but something's just off. As much as I hate to think about it, a trip to the doctor's might be in order. *cringes*
But that's more than enough complaning for one night.
It's October! One of the most beautiful months, I think. This morning was incredible, crisp and cool and breezy yet sunny and blue blue sky without a single cloud to be seen. So I went to visit my grandfather and brought him a pumpkin. He was thoroughly pleased. :)
And, in huge news, U2. on. Monday. I hope my head stops throbing in time to fully enjoy that experience.

Oi, it's Sunday night already? *grimmaces* On my list of The Most Annoying
Things in the World (Truly), Getting sick in time for the weekend but
getting better by Monday morning definitely makes the cut. Slight
throat infection made for a slightly miserable Saturday/Sunday morning, but I'm
feeling much better now, and chances are that tomorrow morning, I'll be
all set. Figures. *does not want to get up tomorrow*
I have to say though, there is something quite relaxing about spending a weekend curled up on the couch watching football with chicken soup and popsicles and definitely not orange juice, 'cause I found out the hard way that makes it way worse, ouch. Care of my sickness excuse, I actually watched more football than I've been able to in a long time...West Ham-Arsenal, New England-New York, and Chelsea-Aston Villa this afternoon. *nods* Granted, I slept through most of West Ham-Arsenal, but New England secured themselves a playoff spot, which is great, and Chelsea is Chelsea, and thoroughly not boring. I just don't see how anyone can find the Premiership boring. I live in a country that considers baseball it's national pastime, if you want to talk about boring.
By the way, if you know what's good for you, you will not watch these videos of the USA U-17 team from the World Championshps. Really. You've been warned. *squirms* So adorable. The minis tied Cote d'Ivoire on Friday, and are playing Holland tomorrow afternoon. Eeeee! *sets recorder* *hangs head in shame* You may or may not want to look at ( these pictures ) as well. *g*

Oh, it's Thursday already! This week is actually going by fast, thanks be, 'cause last week just crawled.
Premiere of Lost last night was, as usual, perplexing. And awesome.
I was thinking about buying the first season on DVD on the way home today, but I'm an idiot and just remembered that tickets for USA v Panama went on sale yesterday. *facepalm* But I really don't think I have enough cash for either.

I've been totally dead to LJ for a few days now. Grrr. I hope I didn't
miss anything. RL took over for like a week, and as much as I wish it
wouldn't, I do believe I'm all caught up now. There were numerous Scary
Things looming on the horizon for me but I think I've got them all
taken care of! *is relieved*
Whoa. Hold up.
I did miss something.
The new layout at
footballslash OMG?! I was so confused for a second! Holy holy it is beautiful. *loveslovesloves* As if I needed confirmation,
leetje's got skill.
Been watching a bit of the U-17 World Cup, because it is teh adorable. And because it's on TV, which I wasn't expecting. So mini! So cute! *loffs* I've got my eye on ( the Americans and the Italians... )
Well, I have about 23098402 pages of flist to read and just as many baskets of laundry to do. *headdesk* If there is one task I loathe above all else, it's laundry. *wanders off*
ETA: What-the-omg-U2-in-two-weeks??! How did that happen!? :D

So, because of the absolutely crazy party that was the
( NFL season kickoff ) last night, I didn't get home 'til ten of three in the morning!
Went to bed, and got up again three hours later. Somewhat difficult,
but totally not worth complaining about. Had a very awesome time.
As exciting as the NFL festivities were, can't help but rejoice that, as far as real football is concerned, internationals are over and tomorrow we have lots of lovely EPL matches. I miss JT. But Jose seems pretty sure he'll be back soon... FSC isn't showing Chelsea-Sunderland 'til Sunday afternoon. Blah.
And oh yes, I got tagged by
